Pyrenees Orientales has yet to be discovered in the main by the large tour companies so it still retains all of it’s French charm. Being a Catalan region, the culture is a mix of French and Spanish and there are a wide variety of castles, forts, ancient churches, monasteries and fantastic restaurants to visit whilst you are here.
For activities, almost anything is possible…. Walking, cycling, golf, canyoning, bird-watchching, horse riding, caving, fishing, sailing, skiing, snowboarding, sight-seeing and of course just relaxing. Being situated within the area bordered by the Pyrenees and the mediterranean, the climate all year round is fantastic for any of the activities you choose to do:
