Horse-riding is an excellent way to explore the area. Enjoying riding in a privileged environment, feeling the strength of the horse and the serenity of the walk are some of the most typical aspects of this sport. The forest tracks, paths, bridle paths and cattle tracks, which cover the Pyrenees mountains are numerous allowing easy exploring of the area. As recently as the 1980s there were only a few riding stables in the Pyrenees, but nowadays riding is available throughout the mountain range.

If you are only looking for a day of riding, you will find plenty of options as you go around. A full day should cost you €61 in the French side and slightly less on the Spanish side. Part day rates of €12per hour are about standard.
